Happy Thanksgiving – Desserts

November 27, 2009

I think my favorite part about Thanksgiving is the dessert. Tonight’s menu included a homemade apple pie with granny apple smith and two types of New England macintosh apples. The apples were sliced and layered with cinnamon, butter and a little bit of sugar.

If one huge homemade pie wasn’t enough, we also had chocolate molten lava cakes accompanied with ice cream and homemade whipped cream. The cake was dense with rich chocolate and a liquid chocolate on the inside.

Last but not least, we also had a pumpkin cheesecake and a pumpkin chiffon pie.  You can’t have Thanksgiving without some pumpkin.

Thanks for reading and I hope you all had a happy Thanksgiving!
